Web 2.0

The term Web 2.0 was created in 1999 but didn’t become popular until 2004. The term Web 2.0 is associated with web applications that facilitate interactive information sharing, interoperability, user centered design, and collaboration on the world wide web. Some example of Web 2.0 are: web based communities, hosted services, web applications, social networking sites, and blogs. Web 2.0 sites let’s its users interact with other users. Users are also allowed to change website content. Web 2.0 is closely associated with Tim OReilly because of the 2004 Web 2.0 conference.
